Robyn Cooke heads the eCommerce division for The Foschini Group (TFG) globally and is at the forefront of launching TFG’s 26 brands online including @home, Totalsports, Sportscene, Markham and Foschini for Beauty. With 13 brands successfully launched on tfg.co.za, Robyn is on track to launch TFG’s full product offering – and more - online by 2019.
Having previously served in eCommerce roles in South Africa and other regions, Robyn has a uniquely global perspective on what makes eCommerce in South Africa different. In addition to this, Robyn is a highly experienced professional in marketing and communications, specifically in fashion and technology.
Robyn was South Africa’s first fashion blogger, commentator and stylist, and launched the popular blog www.robyncooke-styleguide.co.za in 2008. In 2011 she was named as one of Cosmopolitan SA’s first Twitter Queens and in December 2013 was named one of ELLE magazine SA’s 40 Best Global Twitter feeds to follow.
Robyn worked as the content director for online fashion retailer Style36, fashion editor at O (The Oprah Magazine) and as a freelance fashion writer for Cosmopolitan magazine, Woolworths magazine and iAfrica.com.
Robyn’s diverse career saw her working in global technology marketing and communications roles. Projects included the British Olympic Association sponsorship for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the rebranding of the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Transport for London Oyster card programme.
