Judopay Taps CyberSource To Expand Global In-App Payments

mCommerce payments platform Judopay announced Wednesday (Dec.13) it had inked a partnership with Visa to use the CyberSource payment management solution.

In a press release, Judopay said it can offer consumers a better digital payment experience with the Visa partnership in place, and offer customers greater mobile payment choices — whether that’s payment card, a card on file or digital wallets — at the point of sale. The collaboration also affords Judopay the ability to broaden its reach and offer in-app payments using CyberSource’s payment management platform.

“We’re seeing that, for brands around the globe, great apps are at the center of growth,” said Ryan Farley, chief executive at Judopay. “The CyberSource partnership means we can support new and existing customers in their rapid expansion worldwide, whether in London, Rio, New York, Paris or Dubai. We take a pride in partnering with our customers to provide the best service and growth opportunity with cutting-edge technology.”

The Judopay and Visa partnership effort comes at a time when mobile payments are expected to take off and grow at rates twice as fast as eCommerce, driven in part by consumer demand to be able to make purchases anywhere, anytime. To that end, Judopay noted that in-app payments are forecast to be worth $1.2 trillion in North America and Europe by 2020.

“Deep partnerships are at the core of all we do at CyberSource,” said Neil Caldwell, vice president of CyberSource Europe at Visa. “Whilst the ability to respond to evolving buying behaviors and embrace digital change is front of mind for today’s business leaders — who are operating in increasingly competitive times — Judopay is a key partner in helping enable businesses to execute a mobile strategy, and help support wider initiatives.”
